The final installment of the summer series "Jesus at the Movies" was particularly interesting; we viewed selections from Cecil B. DeMille's The King of Kings (1927-1928) and Mel Gibson's The Passion of the Christ (2004), comparing and contrasting the ways in which these particularly influential Jesus films depict the events of the passion narrative.
