Your Comments Are Requested...

While my experiences with Blogger have been generally good, I've occasionally regretted its relative lack of customizable features when compared to other publishing platforms such as WordPress. For instance, I've always been a little jealous of the "Recent Commentations" portion of Nick Norelli's sidebar; one of the most interesting and rewarding things about sharing ideas and information in this type of format is the rich, evolving conversation that it fosters. Fortunately, the fine folks at bloggerbuster.com have created an extremely user-friendly widget that corrects this glaring problem, and the most recent comments on this blog will now be proudly displayed in the sidebar immediately beneath the blogroll.

So, the moral of this story is... let's see more comments! ;-)

Comments are 85% of the reason I blog. I don't know enough people who are interested in the things I'm interested in in 'real life' so I depend on the conversation that comes from blogging in order to discuss these things. That being said, I find WP blogs much more conducive to commenting. Granted, yours is one of the easier Blogspot blogs to comment on because you haven't enabled to dreaded word verification but I still have to type in my information every time I leave a comment. With WP it's already there for me. Think about converting, all the cool kids are doing it. :-)

BTW, I added you to my blogroll. I would have done it ages ago but there were times when you wouldn't post for weeks. I'm really enjoying the recent surge in post production. Keep up the good work!

Now that I've finished giving the entire thing a facelift, you want me to switch? I have to get some more mileage out of these changes first. ;-)

Thanks for adding me to the blogroll!

Matt, I know Nick would back me up on this, seriously consider switiching to Wordpress - it will increase you traffic and readership significantly, and comments too (Nick commented but he has asserted he generally will not comment on blogger blogs). You can switch everything over and not loose anything - WP is set up to import it all from all kinds of different formats. You can still have comment moderation, spam blockers and the like. You can track the hits to your blog (which posts are getting visits, track your comments on other blogs, floow links to your blog, see how people are landing your site, and more. Really, think about it!

You have a really great blog! Keep it up.
