Here are some brief notes from Monday's lecture, which was an introduction to Christian gospels in general and the canonical gospels in particular. The second half of the lecture featured the "Synoptic Problem" (the scholarly conundrum surrounding the nature of the literary relationship between Matthew, Mark, and Luke) and the "Two-Source Hypothesis" (the most popular solution to this problem).
